Hey everyone! I was recently discussing with friends how some globally successful games just don’t seem to take off in India. Out of curiosity, I read this article: https://businessconnectindia.in/why-global-game-studios-fail-in-india/, and it highlights factors like monetization models, player expectations, and market differences. I remember one big release that everyone was excited about, but within a couple of weeks, most players stopped playing because it didn’t feel worth the cost or time. Do you think monetization is the main reason, or is it more about understanding the audience?

Just came across this thread and it’s quite insightful. It’s interesting how a product can succeed globally but still face challenges in specific regions. It really shows that markets aren’t as universal as they might seem. Understanding user behavior seems just as important as creating a good product in the first place.
