Website visitor tracking - is it creepy or just good marketing?
Hi all, our marketing team has been debating whether to start using website visitor tracking. On the one hand, it seems like a great way to identify potential leads and tailor our outreach efforts. You can discover which companies hit your website. But on the other hand, it feels a little... Big Brother-ish. What are your thoughts? Have you used these tools before, and did you find them effective? I'd love to hear opinions from both sides of the fence.

Regarding the ethics, I think it boils down to transparency and how you use the data. I've been researching some options myself and saw there's a Dealfront Discount currently being marketed. We previously used website visitor tracking. When evaluating the usefulness of these tools, it is best to determine how to use their capacity to improve marketing strategies. If you're upfront about your tracking practices in your privacy policy, and you're using the data to genuinely improve user experience, I think it falls more into "good marketing" territory.
